- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with a cloth to remove dirt, grease, or debris.
- Align the clip stem with the hole in the panel or flange so the retaining legs are oriented correctly.

- Reconnect the panel or molding over the clip, ensuring the mating piece seats fully and is held securely.
