Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, turn off the vehicle, and remove any components blocking access to the clip.
- Use a plastic trim tool or wrapped flat screwdriver to gently pry and remove the damaged clip or panel as needed.
- Clean the clip hole and surrounding area with a cloth and mild cleaner or isopropyl alcohol to remove debris and grease.
- Align the trim or panel so the mounting hole lines up with the vehicle body hole.
- Position the replacement clip into the panel hole, then push the clip straight into the vehicle body hole until it seats flush and locks.
- If the clip is tight, apply a small amount of soapy water to ease insertion; avoid forcing the clip to prevent cracking the panel.
- Check retention by gently tugging the panel; if loose, remove and inspect the hole or replace with the correct clip size.
- Reinstall any removed components and verify proper fit and finish.
