This 4-piece Precision Beltline Molding Kit (Left and Right) is engineered to restore and secure the exterior beltline trim on First Series WFK 1110 51 A vehicles. Each piece replicates original fit and profile to align with the window-to-body gap, protecting the paint edge while delivering a clean, factory-look finish. Made for durability and long-term use, the kit reduces vibration and prevents water intrusion at the beltline. It’s an ideal replacement for restoration projects or to refresh worn or missing trim with an easy, accurate installation.
Features:
- Fits First Series WFK 1110 51 A vehicles (left and right, 4-piece kit).
- High-quality corrosion-resistant metal construction for long-lasting durability.
- Restores factory appearance and secures beltline trim to prevent water intrusion and paint damage.
- Precisely formed to original dimensions for accurate alignment and easy replacement.
- Simple installation: designed for direct-fit replacement using existing mounting points or supplied fasteners.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare the area: park on level ground and clean the beltline area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove wax, grease, and dirt.
- Protect adjacent surfaces: apply masking tape along the edge of the glass and painted body to prevent scratches during removal and installation.
- Remove old molding: gently pry off existing molding using a trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver. Work slowly to avoid bending the metal or damaging paint. Save original clips or fasteners if undamaged.
- Inspect mounting points: check clip holes and mounting surfaces for corrosion or damage. Replace any broken clips or bent retainers prior to installing the new molding.
- Test-fit the new pieces: position each molding piece against the beltline to confirm alignment and fit. Trim or adjust only if necessary and only as slight modifications.
- Install using original clips or supplied fasteners: align the molding with the mounting holes and press firmly until each clip engages. For screw-type fasteners, tighten snugly but avoid over-torquing to prevent distortion.
- Seat the molding: run a firm, even pressure along the length of the molding to fully seat it into the channel. Use a rubber mallet covered with cloth if gentle persuasion is needed.
- Final inspection: remove masking tape, wipe down installed molding, and check gaps and alignment. Verify that windows and doors operate without interference.
- Cure and protect: if any seam sealant or adhesive promoter was used, allow recommended cure time before washing the vehicle or exposing it to heavy moisture.
