Instructions:
- Review the vehicle service manual for OEM block locations and specifications before starting.
- Wear gloves and safety glasses. Support the glass with suction cups or a lifter to prevent accidental drops.
- Carefully remove any old setting blocks or adhesive residue from the pinch weld and glass contact area using a razor and cleaner.
- Clean and, if required, apply primer to the pinch weld and glass per adhesive and vehicle manufacturer instructions.
- Place the glass in the approximate position on the urethane bead and set it gently into the pinch weld while supported.
- Install the setting block(s) at the specified locations between the glass edge and pinch weld. Adjust so the block provides even support and the correct glass gap per OEM specs.
- Temporarily secure the glass with tape or clamps while you verify alignment and gap measurements at multiple points.
- Make any final adjustments to block position, confirm consistent urethane bead compression, and allow the adhesive to cure according to urethane manufacturer recommendations.
- Once cured, remove any temporary supports, inspect the seal for gaps or voids, and trim excess adhesive as needed.
- Test fitment and function (washer spray, wipers, door closures) and recheck for leaks after the full cure period.
