Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any retained molding using a plastic trim tool and wrapped screwdriver to avoid scratching the glass or body.
- Clean the windshield channel and surrounding flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an appropriate cleaner; remove old adhesive residue and debris.
- Dry-fit the new WBL 602 seal along the windshield opening to determine orientation and any trimming points; mark with masking tape as needed.
- Trim the seal to length with a utility knife or shears, allowing proper overlap or butt joint as required by the vehicle application.
- If the vehicle application uses adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the seal firmly into the channel, working around the windshield and ensuring the profile fully seats without twists or gaps; use a trim tool to tuck the inner lip if needed.
- Reinstall any exterior trim or moldings and verify even compression around the glass. Remove masking tape and clean excess adhesive immediately.
- Allow any adhesive to cure for the recommended time before driving; check for leaks and re-seat if necessary.
