Upper on-door weatherstrip engineered to restore the original seal on Chevy and GMC trucks from 1973–1991. This replacement piece seals the gap between the door and window frame to block water, wind, dust and reduce road noise. Made from a durable, weather-resistant rubber compound with an integrated retainer for reliable fitment, it renews door alignment and protects interior trim from moisture damage. Designed for straightforward installation, it’s an effective, long-lasting solution for restoring worn or cracked original weatherstrip.
Features:
  • Fits Chevy & GMC trucks, 1973–1991 — upper on-door weatherstrip
  • Durable EPDM rubber compound resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes
  • Integrated metal/plastic retainer for secure OEM-style fit
  • Seals door-to-window gap to prevent water leaks, drafts and noise
  • Restores original appearance and protects interior trim from moisture
  • Easy replacement for worn, cracked or flattened factory weatherstrip
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30–60 minutes per door
Suggested Tools:
  • Trim removal tool or flat screwdriver
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover
  • Clean cloths
  • Weatherstrip adhesive (if required)
  • Utility knife or scissors
  • Silicone spray or rubber lubricant
Instructions:
  1. Lower the window to access the upper door channel; remove the door panel if necessary to reach retaining clips.
  2. Carefully pry out the old weatherstrip using a trim tool or flat screwdriver and remove any retaining clips or fasteners with pliers.
  3. Clean the channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old glue, dirt and debris; allow to dry.
  4. Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the channel to confirm length and alignment; trim excess if needed with a utility knife or scissors.
  5. If the replacement requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the seal per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Starting at the front corner, press the new weatherstrip into the channel and seat the integrated retainer firmly into place working along the length of the door.
  7. Reinstall any retaining clips or door trim, operate the window several times to confirm smooth movement and proper seal, and allow adhesive to cure as recommended.
