This 8-piece Precision Beltline Molding and Glass Run Channel Kit (Left and Right Hand) is designed for First Series vehicles built to WFK 1111 51 A specifications. The kit replaces worn or damaged beltline moldings and glass run channels to restore window alignment, reduce wind noise, and prevent water intrusion. Manufactured from durable, weather-resistant materials, the components provide a long-lasting seal and a factory-style appearance. Ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance, the kit is engineered for reliable fitment and straightforward installation with basic tools.
Features:
- Fits First Series vehicles using WFK 1111 51 A beltline and glass run channel specifications.
- Includes left- and right-hand beltline moldings and inner glass run channels in an 8-piece set.
- Made from weather-resistant rubber and corrosion-resistant metal reinforcements for durability.
- Restores proper glass alignment and helps eliminate wind noise and water leaks.
- Designed for direct replacement to maintain original appearance during restoration.
- Relatively easy to install with common hand tools and basic mechanical experience.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours (both sides)
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: lower the window glass fully and disconnect the battery if you will remove electrical components.
- Remove the interior door panel and any trim needed to access the beltline and glass run area. Keep fasteners organized.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding and glass run channel. Use trim tools to pry clips and a utility knife to cut any adhesive. Take care not to scratch paint or glass.
- Clean the channel and surrounding surfaces with cleaner/degreaser and a lint-free rag. Remove rust or old adhesive residue so new parts seat cleanly.
- Test-fit new pieces: position the new glass run channel and beltline molding on the door to confirm proper alignment and orientation for left/right sides.
- If required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to mounting areas per adhesive instructions.
- Install the inner glass run channel first, sliding it into the door channel and seating it fully. Use a rubber mallet gently if needed to ensure even seating.
- Fit the beltline molding over the edge, engaging clips or fasteners. Trim any excess material to length with a utility knife if necessary.
- Cycle the window slowly to verify smooth operation and proper clearance. Adjust molding seating if the glass binds or contacts the new run.
- Reinstall the door panel and any removed trim, reconnect electrical connectors, and perform a final inspection for gaps, leaks, or loose fasteners.
