This windshield weatherstrip seal is designed for GM sedan, coupe, and wagon models that require a windshield seal without a trim groove. It provides a secure, watertight seal around the windshield opening to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and help keep interior trim aligned. Molded from a durable rubber compound with UV and ozone resistance, the seal offers long-lasting reliability and easy installation for restoration and replacement projects.
Features:
  • Fits GM sedan, coupe and wagon models that use a windshield weatherstrip without a trim groove.
  • Made from a durable rubber compound with UV and ozone resistance for long service life.
  • Creates a watertight seal to prevent leaks and reduce wind noise.
  • Helps align and secure windshield trim and interior molding during installation.
  • Simple retrofit for restoration projects — replaces worn or cracked original seals.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Suggested Tools:
  • Plastic trim removal tool
  • Flat-head screwdriver (protected tip)
  • Razor knife or utility knife
  • Cleaning solvent (rubbing alcohol or wax & grease remover)
  • Lint-free cloths
  • Weatherstrip adhesive (optional)
  • Painter's tape or masking tape
  • Gloves
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface and protect paint and interior with drop cloths.
  2. Remove windshield trim and any remaining old weatherstrip material using a plastic trim tool and protected screwdriver; cut stubborn sections with a razor knife.
  3. Thoroughly clean the windshield channel and surrounding flange with rubbing alcohol or wax & grease remover; allow to dry completely.
  4. Dry-fit the new weatherstrip into the channel, starting at the top center and working outward to ensure correct orientation and fit.
  5. If adhesive is recommended for your vehicle or the flange is worn, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel per adhesive instructions; otherwise, press the seal into place by hand.
  6. Seat the seal fully by pressing along the entire perimeter, using a seam roller or thumb pressure to ensure full engagement.
  7. Reinstall windshield trim and any removed molding; use painter's tape to hold trim in place while adhesive cures if used.
  8. Inspect the seal for gaps and test for leaks after cure time by gently spraying water around the windshield perimeter.
