The Precision Trunk Weatherstrip Seal TS 104 SA is a direct-replacement trunk gasket engineered to restore a watertight, dustproof, and quiet trunk closure. Molded to an OEM-style profile from durable EPDM rubber, this seal resists UV, ozone, and temperature extremes to prevent leaks, reduce road noise, and protect trunk contents and body seams from corrosion. Easy to install and built for long-term reliability, it’s ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance where a dependable trunk seal is required. Verify fitment for your vehicle before purchase.
Features:
- Made from high-quality EPDM rubber for long-lasting flexibility and weather resistance
- OEM-style profile provides a tight, even seal to prevent water, dust, and noise intrusion
- UV- and ozone-resistant formulation helps prevent cracking and shrinkage over time
- Fits as a direct replacement for matching trunk openings—confirm fitment for your vehicle
- Simple installation with adhesive or push-in application depending on trunk design
- Helps protect trunk interior and body seams from corrosion and water damage
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the trunk and remove any trim or fasteners that block access to the existing seal.
- Carefully pry out the old weatherstrip using a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver; remove any old adhesive and retaining clips.
- Thoroughly clean the trunk flange and channel with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate solvent; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal along the trunk opening to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess if necessary.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the trunk flange or to the gasket per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Start at the center of the rear edge and align the seal, working outward toward each corner; press the seal into place and seat it fully into any channel or retaining groove.
- Use a roller or block of wood to firmly press the seal along its full length, ensuring uniform contact and removing air pockets.
- Trim remaining excess with a utility knife and reinstall any trim or fasteners removed earlier.
- Allow adhesive to cure for the time specified by the adhesive manufacturer, then check the trunk seal by closing the lid and inspecting for gaps and leaks; adjust as needed.
