Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding trim with cloths or tape.
- Carefully pry up the ends of the old top molding using a plastic trim tool or wrapped flat screwdriver to avoid scratching paint.
- Slide or pull the old molding out of the windshield channel. If adhesive is present, work slowly and remove residue.
- Clean the windshield channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Apply a light silicone spray or soapy water to the channel to ease installation (do not use petroleum-based lubricants).
- Align the new molding with the windshield top edge, starting at one end. Insert the retainer into the channel and work along the length, pressing the molding firmly into place.
- Ensure both ends seat correctly and any factory clip positions align. Trim any excess if necessary per vehicle original configuration.
- Wipe away any lubricant residue and inspect the seal. Test for proper fit and check for gaps or loose sections.
- Allow any residual moisture to evaporate before driving. Re-check after a short test drive to confirm seal integrity.
