This left-hand inner beltline molding replaces worn or damaged trim on vehicles using the WFL 1412 82 beltline profile. It secures and aligns the beltline trim, protects the edge of the body panel from moisture and road debris, and restores a clean, factory appearance. Made to provide durable, reliable performance, the molding is straightforward to install and is ideal for restoration or maintenance projects where original-style fit and finish are required.
Features:
- Designed to match the WFL 1412 82 left-hand inner beltline profile for compatible vehicles.
- Durable corrosion-resistant finish helps resist weathering and road salts.
- Secures and aligns exterior trim while preventing moisture intrusion and panel damage.
- Engineered for a near-OEM fit to restore factory appearance and function.
- Easy to install with common trim tools and retains original clip locations where applicable.
- Ideal for restoration, replacement, or maintenance to maintain vehicle value and aesthetics.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare the area: park on a level surface and clean the beltline area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, wax, and grease.
- Remove the old molding: use a plastic trim tool to gently pry the molding away from the body, working along its length to disengage clips or fasteners. Use trim clip pliers or pliers to remove any retained clips.
- Inspect mounting points: check clip holes and mounting surfaces for damage or corrosion. Repair or replace clips and clean surfaces before installing new molding.
- Test-fit the new molding: position the new left-hand inner molding along the beltline to confirm alignment with mounting holes and adjacent trim pieces. Use masking tape to hold it temporarily if needed.
- Attach the molding: align and press the molding into place so clips engage. For clip-style attachments, push firmly until each clip snaps in. For adhesive-backed styles, apply recommended adhesive per manufacturer instructions and press into place, holding with tape until set.
- Secure and finish: reinstall any screws or rivets if applicable. Wipe away any excess adhesive, remove masking tape, and perform a final alignment check.
- Cure and inspect: allow adhesive to cure if used (refer to adhesive instructions). Inspect the molding for secure fit and even gaps, and replace any missing or damaged clips as needed.
