This kit contains a matched pair of inner left and right beltline moldings designed to restore and protect the window-to-body seam on 1982–1987 Buick Regal models. The moldings provide a factory-correct appearance while protecting paint along the door glass edge, reducing wind intrusion and rattles, and helping maintain the vehicle’s original trim lines. Constructed with a durable, corrosion-resistant finish and engineered for direct-fit replacement, this kit is ideal for restoration projects and repair applications where OEM-style fit and long-term reliability are required. Easy to install with common hand tools, the moldings return a clean, finished look to worn or damaged beltline trim.
Features:
  • Fits 1982–1987 Buick Regal — inner left and right beltline moldings (pair).
  • Factory-correct fit and finish for authentic restoration and replacement.
  • Durable, corrosion-resistant finish resists weather and road exposure.
  • Protects paint along the window edge, reduces wind noise and vibration.
  • Direct-fit pair simplifies installation for repair or restoration projects.
  • Restores vehicle appearance, improving resale value and curb appeal.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Plastic trim removal tool
  • Flat-head screwdriver
  • Needle-nose pliers or clip pliers
  • Clean cloth and rubbing alcohol
  • Masking tape
  • Socket set or nut driver (if needed for fasteners)
Instructions:
  1. Park on a level surface, lower the window slightly (if applicable) to access the molding edge, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if working near electrical components.
  2. Carefully remove any exterior trim or weatherstrip that overlaps the beltline molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint.
  3. Locate and remove retaining clips, screws, or fasteners holding the old molding in place. Use needle-nose pliers or a clip tool to extract clips without bending them (replace clips if damaged).
  4. Gently pry the old molding away from the door/frame. Work along the length to avoid bending or damaging the panel.
  5. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to remove adhesive residue, dirt, and wax. Allow the surface to dry.
  6. Test-fit the new inner left and right moldings, aligning them with holes or locating tabs. Use masking tape to hold the molding in position if needed.
  7. Reinstall or replace retaining clips and fasteners to secure the molding. Start at one end and progress evenly to avoid gaps or misalignment.
  8. Reinstall any weatherstrip or exterior trim removed earlier, raise the window (if lowered), and inspect the fit. Make final adjustments to ensure a flush, uniform appearance.
