Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on level ground, roll the window to a safe position, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical issues.
- Remove the interior door trim: use a Phillips screwdriver and trim tool to remove screws and gently pry the panel free; disconnect any electrical connectors and set the panel aside.
- Peel back the moisture barrier carefully to expose the door interior and hardware access points.
- Support the window glass with masking tape or a glass support tool so it cannot drop while hardware is removed.
- Remove the old hardware: unfasten mounting bolts or clips securing the glass and guide hardware using the appropriate sockets and Torx bits; keep fasteners organized if reusing.
- Install the new hardware: position the tempered hardware in place, start fasteners by hand to ensure correct alignment, then tighten to secure. Do not overtighten—ensure smooth glass travel.
- Verify alignment and operation: reconnect the battery temporarily, test window movement and door fit, and make any minor adjustments to alignment as needed.
- Reassemble the door: disconnect battery again if required, reposition the moisture barrier, reconnect electrical connectors, reinstall the interior door panel, and tighten all fasteners.
- Final check: reconnect the negative battery terminal, test all door and window functions, and confirm there are no unusual noises or binding.
