Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, lower the window (if possible) and disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety if required.
- Carefully remove the interior door panel by removing screws and using a trim tool to release retainers; set panel aside.
- Disconnect any electrical connectors (power window switch, courtesy light) and peel back the water shield to expose the inner door cavity.
- Locate and remove the fasteners securing the existing door glass hardware; support the glass to prevent dropping.
- Remove the old hardware and clean the mounting area of dirt, adhesive, or corrosion.
- Position the new door glass hardware (PHP DD23 1489) and loosely install the mounting bolts to allow minor alignment adjustments.
- Re-seat the glass into the hardware, adjust vertical and lateral alignment so the glass tracks smoothly, then tighten fasteners to factory torque specs.
- Operate the window several times to confirm smooth travel and that the glass seals correctly; readjust if necessary.
- Reinstall the water shield, reconnect electrical connectors, and reattach the interior door panel.
- Reconnect the battery (if disconnected) and perform a final function and leak/noise check.
