Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface, set parking brake, and if equipped with power windows disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental operation.
- Lower the window glass until the mounting bolts or access holes are reachable (if necessary, temporarily reconnect power to position the glass and then disconnect again).
- Carefully remove the interior door panel and any vapor barrier or insulation needed to access the regulator and glass mounting hardware.
- Support the glass with tape, a helper, or a suitable support to prevent the glass from shifting when hardware is removed.
- Remove the old door glass hardware (bracket, rollers, or guide) and retain any reusable fasteners if recommended; clean mounting surfaces.
- Install the new PHP DD23 1491 components in the same orientation as the originals, ensuring polymer bushings and guide surfaces are seated correctly.
- Reattach and snug fasteners, aligning the glass so it tracks smoothly in the channel; tighten to factory torque specifications where available.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier and door panel, reconnect the battery (if disconnected), then operate the window several times to confirm smooth, rattle-free movement and proper alignment.
- Perform a final inspection of fasteners and trim; make any minor alignment adjustments as needed.
