Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, disconnect negative battery terminal if applicable, and lower the window to a comfortable working height.
- Carefully remove the interior door panel and any vapor barrier as needed to access the window assembly (use trim tool to avoid damage).
- Use masking tape to secure the glass in position or support the glass with a prop to prevent it from falling when hardware is removed.
- Locate and disconnect any fasteners, clips, or regulator connections attaching the existing door glass hardware to the window or regulator.
- Remove the worn or damaged hardware components and clean the mounting area of old grease and debris.
- Install the new PHP DD26 1481 hardware in the reverse order of removal; hand-start fasteners, then tighten to secure alignment but avoid over-tightening.
- Apply a light film of grease to sliding/contact surfaces and operate the window several times to confirm smooth tracking and correct alignment.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier and interior door panel, reconnect any electrical connectors and the battery (if disconnected), then perform a final window operation check to ensure no binding or unusual noise.
