An 8-foot single-length glass run channel (75 0634) designed to guide and seal vehicle side windows. This factory-style channel provides a precise track for the glass, reduces wind noise and vibration, protects the glass edge from wear, and helps prevent water intrusion. Supplied as a full-length piece for cut-to-fit use, it’s ideal for restoration projects and repairs where original channels are worn, cracked, or missing. Made from durable, weather-resistant EPDM rubber with a profile that matches common factory specifications, it offers long-lasting performance and straightforward installation for many doors and window frames.
Features:
- Full 8-foot single-length piece for cut-to-fit installation in door window tracks and restoration projects.
- Made from durable EPDM rubber with a factory-style profile for reliable sealing and smooth window operation.
- Guides glass to reduce rattles and vibration while protecting the glass edge from damage.
- Weather, UV, and ozone resistant for long-term durability in exterior door environments.
- Straightforward trim-to-fit application — can be cut to length for virtually any vehicle door.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–90 minutes (per door, depending on vehicle and experience)
Instructions:
- Remove the interior door panel and any water shield to access the window channel and glass.
- Carefully lower or remove the door glass according to the vehicle procedure so the channel area is accessible.
- Remove the old glass run channel and any retained felt or adhesive; clean the channel track thoroughly with solvent and a rag.
- Measure the door channel length and transfer that measurement to the new 8' run channel; allow extra length for trimming if needed.
- Trim the new channel to length with a utility knife or sharp scissors, cutting on a flat, stable surface.
- Apply a light coating of silicone spray or soapy water inside the channel to aid installation and protect the rubber during seating.
- Insert the new channel into the door frame starting at one end and work along the length, ensuring the channel seats fully into the metal flange; use gentle pressure and pliers for tight sections if necessary.
- Reposition the window glass into the new channel, verify smooth up-and-down operation and correct alignment, and make final adjustments.
- Reinstall the water shield and interior door panel, then operate the window several times to confirm proper fit, seal, and quiet operation.
- If any gaps or loose sections are found, remove and re-seat the channel or trim slightly as needed for a snug, continuous fit.
