The Precision Molding Clip Kit, Windshield, 12 Piece Set PCK-3320-11 supplies a complete set of replacement clips designed to secure and align windshield molding for a factory-fit finish. These clips restore proper trim retention, reduce wind noise and water intrusion, and prevent molding sag or separation over time. Manufactured from durable materials to resist corrosion and wear, the kit is ideal for restoration, repair, or routine maintenance of windshield trim on compatible vehicles. Easy to install, each clip snaps into the molding or body channel to reliably fasten exterior trim and maintain proper sealing.
Features:
- 12-piece windshield molding clip kit (PCK-3320-11) for replacement and restoration applications.
- Durable molded construction resists corrosion and environmental wear for long-lasting retention.
- Secures and aligns windshield molding to prevent wind noise, leaks, and trim movement.
- Direct-replacement clips restore factory fit and finish for visible exterior trim.
- Simple snap-in design enables quick installation without specialty fasteners.
- Ideal for restoration projects, collision repair, or routine trim maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level surface and remove any surrounding trim or weatherstripping that obstructs access to the windshield molding.
- Use a plastic trim removal tool or flat-head screwdriver (protected with tape) to gently pry the old molding away and expose the existing clips. Remove the old clips by prying or pulling them out with needle-nose pliers.
- Clean the clip channel and mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and corrosion so new clips seat properly.
- Compare new clips to the old ones to confirm orientation and fit. Note whether the clip mounts to the body channel or snaps onto the molding before proceeding.
- If clips snap onto the molding, press each new clip onto the molding rail at the correct locations. If clips insert into the body channel, position each clip in its mounting hole and push until it seats and locks.
- Carefully realign the molding to the windshield edge and press it into place over the newly installed clips. Work along the length of the molding, applying even pressure until each clip audibly or tactilely snaps into position.
- Inspect the entire molding for uniform fit and engagement. Reinstall any removed weatherstripping or trim pieces and wipe away any fingerprints or residue.
- Test by gently tugging along the molding to confirm clips are secure and by checking for gaps that could cause wind noise or leaks. If necessary, adjust clip placement or replace any clips that do not seat correctly.
