Instructions:
- Measure the trim edge or flange length and thickness to verify fit and determine needed length.
- Clean the mating surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a clean rag; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the U-channel on the edge to confirm orientation and clearance.
- Cut the U-channel to the required length with tin snips or heavy scissors; trim squarely.
- Starting at one end, press the channel onto the edge, working along the length. Use a rubber mallet gently if necessary to seat the wire core fully.
- Trim any excess material and ensure the channel is evenly seated with no gaps or twisted sections.
- If a more permanent attachment is desired, apply a small bead of adhesive or seam sealer inside the channel at the ends or use small clamps while adhesive cures.
- Re-check fit and clearances with moving parts (doors/windows) before finishing.
