Precision Vent Glass (Tempered, Left Hand) DV04950 CLN is a direct-replacement vent window made from clear tempered safety glass. It restores a vehicle's left-hand vent assembly to original appearance and function — sealing against weather, reducing wind noise and drafts, and improving visibility and occupant safety. The tempered construction offers reliable durability and shatter-resistance. Verify part number DV04950 CLN against your vehicle's year, make and model to confirm fitment before purchase.
Features:
- Tempered clear vent glass — Left Hand orientation (DV04950 CLN)
- Direct-replacement design for vent assemblies — OEM-style fit and finish
- Tempered safety glass resists shattering and improves occupant protection
- Restores weatherseal performance, reduces wind noise and drafts
- Durable, scratch-resistant finish for long-lasting clarity
- Straightforward installation for restoration or maintenance projects
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, disconnect the battery (if vehicle has powered components) and wear eye protection and gloves.
- Remove the interior door panel or access trim to reach the vent assembly: remove screws, clips and any window crank or switch assemblies as required.
- Carefully detach the vent frame or assembly hardware. Use trim tools to avoid damaging surrounding trim and label hardware for reassembly.
- If present, remove the old vent glass by releasing retaining clips or screws and gently sliding the glass out of the channel. Support the glass to prevent dropping.
- Clean the frame and channel with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Inspect seals, channels and clips — replace any worn seals or damaged clips before installing the new glass.
- Test-fit the new tempered left-hand vent glass (DV04950 CLN) into the channel to ensure proper orientation and fit. Apply new sealant or seating strips if the original used adhesive.
- Seat the glass fully into the frame and secure with the original retaining clips or hardware. Do not force or flex the glass; tempered glass cannot be reshaped.
- Reinstall the vent frame and all mounting hardware, then reattach the interior door panel and any removed components.
- Clean the new glass with appropriate glass cleaner and inspect for proper movement, sealing and alignment. Test for wind noise at low speed and adjust seals or clips if needed.
