Left-hand vent window handle kit designed to replace worn or broken vent window hardware and restore smooth, secure operation. The kit provides a direct-fit handle and mounting components that fasten the vent (quarter) window to the door frame, enabling reliable opening, closing, and sealing. Built for long-lasting use with corrosion-resistant finishes and precise fitment, it’s ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance to eliminate rattle, play, or leakage.
Features:
- Durable, corrosion-resistant handle and hardware for long service life.
- Replaces worn or damaged vent window handle to restore smooth opening and closing.
- Direct-fit design for easy alignment and reliable fastening of vent (quarter) window assemblies.
- Helps reduce vibration and wind noise while improving seal integrity.
- Ideal for restoration and maintenance — brings original function back to aged or brittle components.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 20-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the interior door panel or access trim to expose the vent window handle and mounting area.
- Open the vent window to relieve tension on the linkage and locate the retaining fastener (clip, screw, or bolt) holding the existing handle.
- Using the appropriate screwdriver or pliers, remove the retaining fastener and slide the old handle off the splined shaft or linkage.
- Inspect the splines and pivot area for wear or debris; clean and apply a light coat of grease to moving surfaces.
- Align the new handle onto the splined shaft or linkage, ensuring proper orientation for left-hand operation, and press it fully into place.
- Reinstall and secure the retaining clip, screw, or bolt to manufacturer torque or snug fit — do not overtighten.
- Cycle the vent window several times to confirm smooth operation, correct alignment, and proper sealing.
- Reinstall the door panel or trim and verify final fit and function.
