Front lower left-hand ball joint for 1962–1976 Dodge and Plymouth vehicles. This direct-fit suspension component replaces worn or damaged ball joints to restore steering precision, reduce play, and maintain proper wheel alignment. Designed for durability and consistent performance, it secures the control arm to the steering knuckle, helping prevent uneven tire wear and improving overall handling. Ideal for restorations or routine maintenance on classic Mopar models.
Features:
  • Fits 1962–1976 Dodge and Plymouth front lower left-hand applications.
  • High-strength steel construction with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
  • Restores proper steering geometry and reduces play for improved handling and tire wear.
  • Precision-machined ball and housing for smooth articulation and reliable performance.
  • Direct-replacement design for easy fitment in restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Suggested Tools:
  • jack and jack stands
  • lug wrench
  • socket set and ratchet
  • wrenches
  • ball joint separator or pickle fork
  • torque wrench
  • hammer
  • needle-nose pliers
  • penetrating oil
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground and engage parking brake. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly.
  2. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
  3. Apply penetrating oil to ball joint fasteners and let soak if corroded.
  4. Remove cotter pin (if present) from the castle nut on the ball joint and loosen the nut.
  5. Use a ball joint separator or pickle fork to separate the ball joint stud from the steering knuckle; tap with a hammer if needed.
  6. Support the control arm and remove any retaining bolts or rivets securing the ball joint to the control arm (drill out rivets if applicable).
  7. Remove the old ball joint from the control arm and clean mounting surfaces.
  8. Install the new ball joint into the control arm. Secure with supplied bolts or new hardware and tighten to factory torque specifications.
