Instructions:
- Confirm part fitment against your vehicle's year/make/model and the old channel part number.
- Disconnect the battery (if required for power windows) and roll the window to the position specified by the vehicle service manual (usually partially down).
- Remove the interior door panel and any water/foam barrier carefully using trim tools to expose the window and regulator.
- If needed, detach the window from the regulator and carefully support or lift the glass out of the channel area (use masking tape to secure glass in the up position if not removing).
- Locate and remove the old glass run channel: cut or pull away any retaining tabs or adhesive and carefully extract the worn channel from the door frame.
- Clean the channel mounting area of old adhesive, dirt, and rust. Wipe down with a clean rag and light solvent if necessary; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new channel into the door frame to ensure proper orientation. Apply a thin bead of silicone spray or soapy water to the channel groove to ease installation.
- Insert the new channel into the door frame starting at one end and working along its length, ensuring it seats fully into any clips or mounting grooves.
- Re-seat the window into the new channel, guide it up and down slowly to confirm smooth operation and proper alignment. Reconnect the window to the regulator if removed.
- Reinstall the water barrier and interior door panel, reconnect the battery (if disconnected) and test the window several times to ensure no binding, leaks, or excessive noise.
- If necessary, make minor adjustments to window height or regulator mounting to achieve even contact with the channel and proper sealing.
