Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower windows for access to the beltline area.
- Carefully remove the existing molding: use a trim tool or flat screwdriver to disengage clips and fasteners. Keep any service hardware that is in good condition.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and wax. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right pieces to verify orientation and fit. Use masking tape to hold pieces in place and mark any location references for fasteners.
- If needed, clean or re-drill existing mounting holes to ensure proper alignment. Use the drill and a small bit sparingly and only where necessary.
- Secure the molding using the original clips/fasteners or new fasteners/pop rivets as appropriate. Start at one end and work toward the other to maintain alignment.
- If specified or desired, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive or sealant along the mating surface for added security and to help prevent moisture intrusion.
- Trim any excess material, remove masking tape, and wipe the molding and surrounding area clean.
- Cycle the door/windows to confirm no interference and perform a final inspection for fit, finish, and sealing.
