Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and ensure the roof rail area is dry and accessible.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip using a trim tool and screwdriver; cut away any stubborn adhesive with a razor blade.
- Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or suitable solvent to remove dirt, old adhesive and residue; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals (identify left/right by orientation or compare with removed seals) along the roof rail to confirm correct placement.
- If the seal is a push-in type, align the bulb and press it firmly into the channel along the entire length. If adhesive attachment is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal into place, working along the rail and ensuring the seal seats evenly without twists or gaps. Use firm hand pressure or a roller to ensure full contact.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife so the ends fit flush with the roof rail terminations.
- Allow adhesive to cure per adhesive instructions (if used). Check for secure fit and test for leaks by gently spraying water over the roof rail area.
