Instructions:
- Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace and gather tools.
- Remove the vent (wing) window assembly according to the vehicle's service procedure: loosen pivot screws or pins and carefully take out the vent to access the post seal area.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip from the vent post and surrounding channel using a trim tool or flat screwdriver; cut away any stubborn sections with a utility knife.
- Clean the sealing surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove dirt, old adhesive and residue; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new VPB 1110 67 seal on the vent post and in the channel. Trim any excess with a utility knife for an accurate fit.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead to the sealing surface as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer; align the seal and press firmly into place.
- Ensure the seal is fully seated around the post and along the mating surfaces; reassemble the vent window and hardware.
- Operate the vent window to confirm smooth movement and correct compression. Perform a water test or use soapy water to check for leaks and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before normal use.
