The Precision Inner Header Weatherstrip Seal BWF 1110 76 is a direct-fit inner header seal engineered to restore the original weatherproofing and fit in vehicles that require the BWF 1110 76 profile. It seals the inner header area to prevent water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while securing trim and maintaining proper glass alignment. Made from a long-lasting rubber compound with a corrosion-resistant core where applicable, this seal delivers improved durability, dependable performance, and an OEM-style fit for restoration and maintenance projects. Installation is straightforward and designed for both DIY enthusiasts and professional technicians.
Features:
- Made to the BWF 1110 76 inner header profile for correct fit and finish.
- Durable rubber compound resists UV, ozone, and temperature cycling for long service life.
- Seals inner header to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise, and limit vibration.
- Provides OEM-style restoration fit to return header areas to factory condition.
- Easy to install with common trim tools; can be used for restoration or replacement applications.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove any interior trim or molding that covers the inner header to access the old seal.
- Gently pry out the old weatherstrip and any retained clips; use a trim tool to avoid damaging the header channel.
- Thoroughly clean the header channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and seal residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new BWF 1110 76 seal along the header to ensure orientation and length are correct; trim excess with a utility knife if needed.
- If recommended for your application, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive or primer to the channel per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Starting at the center top of the header, press the new seal into the channel and work outward toward each corner, using a trim tool to seat the bulb and flange fully into the channel.
- Reinstall any trim or molding removed earlier, ensuring clips and screws are secured and the trim fits flush against the new seal.
- Inspect the installed seal for continuous contact and no gaps. If adhesive was used, allow proper cure time before exposing to weather or reinstalling glass components. Perform a leak check after installation if accessible.
