A universal textured PVC edge trim seal engineered to protect and finish exposed metal or plastic edges on vehicles, trailers, boats, RVs and industrial equipment. The UWS 167 R-250 profile snaps over panel edges to provide a secure, weather-resistant seal that reduces vibration, prevents chafing and blocks water, dust and debris. Its textured finish blends with interior and exterior trim while offering long-lasting flexibility and UV resistance for restoration, repair or new-install applications. Instructions:
- Measure the edge length to be covered and add a small allowance for trimming.
- Clean the panel edge thoroughly with rubbing alcohol; remove rust, paint chips and contaminants.
- Cut the trim to length using scissors or a utility knife; score from the inside for a clean straight cut.
- Test-fit the trim on the edge to ensure correct orientation and fit.
- If extra holding strength is required, apply a bead of weatherproof adhesive inside the trim channel or along the panel edge.
- Press the trim firmly onto the edge, working along the length and compressing with a roller or flat block to seat the channel.
- For tight radii or corners, warm the PVC briefly with a heat gun for greater flexibility, then shape and press into place.
- Trim any excess and wipe away excess adhesive. Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions before subjecting to water or heavy use.
