Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and ensure the work area and panel are clean and dry.
- Carefully remove the trim or panel to expose the old clip using a trim removal tool to avoid damaging surrounding surfaces.
- Use a flathead screwdriver or needle-nose pliers to pry out the damaged or worn clip, taking care not to enlarge or deform the mounting hole.
- Clean the clip hole and surrounding area of debris, rust, or old adhesive; wipe with a clean rag.
- Align the new clip with the mounting hole and press it straight in until you hear or feel it lock into place. For tight fits, press evenly and avoid twisting.
- Reinstall the trim or panel, pressing firmly at the clip location to seat the panel onto the clip. Check for secure fit and eliminate any gaps or movement.
- If a clip does not seat easily, inspect the hole for damage or obstruction and repair as needed before attempting reinstallation.
