Glass Run Channel Post Relining Kit with Adhesive designed for the channels inside GRP 1130/76 tailgates. This kit restores worn or missing rubber liners to secure the tailgate glass, eliminate wind noise and water leaks, and return original fitment. The supplied adhesive bonds the replacement liner for a long-lasting seal, improving durability and reducing vibration. Ideal for restoration or maintenance projects, the kit delivers reliable performance and straightforward application without special parts.
Features:
- Fits channels inside tailgate GRP 1130/76.
- Includes a precision-cut replacement rubber liner sized for post channels.
- Supplied adhesive forms a durable bond to restore a watertight seal.
- Restores original glass alignment — reduces rattles and wind noise.
- High-durability rubber composite resists weathering and compression set.
- Designed for easy refurbishment of worn or missing channel liners.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the tailgate and remove any inner trim or access panels to expose the glass run channels.
- Carefully remove the old rubber liner and any adhesive residue. Use a scraper or trim tool as needed.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or degreaser and allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new liner into the channel to confirm length and orientation. Trim excess with scissors or a sharp knife; leave a small gap at ends if specified by vehicle guidelines.
- Apply the supplied adhesive sparingly into the channel or to the back of the liner following the adhesive instructions. Use masking tape to hold the liner in place if needed.
- Press the liner firmly into the channel along its entire length, ensuring it seats evenly and the glass runs smoothly.
- Allow the adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions (typical cure is several hours to 24 hours) before reinstalling trim or operating the tailgate normally.
- Reinstall any removed trim or panels and test the glass for smooth operation and a secure, leak-free seal.
