Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and roll window to a position recommended by vehicle service manual (if applicable).
- Remove interior door panel and any trim necessary to access the vent assembly fasteners (keep screws and clips organized).
- Disconnect any vent latch linkages or actuator rods; note their orientation for reassembly.
- Remove mounting fasteners securing the old vent assembly and carefully extract the assembly from the door frame.
- Clean mating surfaces and remove old sealant or debris; inspect surrounding structure for corrosion or damage and repair as needed.
- Apply a light coat of silicone grease to new weatherstrips and pivot points to ease installation and improve seal life.
- Position the new left-hand vent assembly (CVA 1110) into the door opening, align mounting holes and reattach fasteners hand-tight.
- Reconnect latch linkages/rods in the original orientation and test vent pivot and latch operation for smooth movement and proper engagement.
- Tighten all mounting hardware to a snug fit (refer to factory manual for specific torque values if available).
- Reinstall the interior door panel and trim, ensuring clips and fasteners are secure.
- Perform a water/draft check and adjust alignment if necessary; re-torque fasteners after a short test drive.
