Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, lower window to a position allowing access to mounting points, and disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
- Remove interior door panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws, and use a trim tool to release clips; disconnect any electrical connectors for switches and speakers.
- Peel back the moisture/vapor barrier carefully to expose the inner door cavity and components.
- Support the door glass with masking tape or a dedicated glass support tool to prevent it from dropping during removal.
- Locate and loosen the bolts or fasteners attaching the glass to the regulator and the old hardware; note hardware orientation and location for reassembly.
- Remove the old door glass hardware (guides/clips/rollers) from the glass and regulator; compare new part to old to ensure correct fitment.
- Install the new door glass hardware (PHP DD26 1364) onto the glass and regulator in the same orientation as the original; hand-start fasteners to ensure proper alignment.
- Lower or raise the glass as needed and tighten mounting bolts to secure the glass to the regulator and new hardware. Do not overtighten; snug to manufacturer torque where specified.
- Manually cycle the window (or reconnect battery temporarily) to verify smooth travel, correct alignment, and absence of binding or noise; make minor adjustments if necessary.
- Reinstall the moisture barrier, ensuring a good seal, then reconnect any electrical connectors and reattach the door panel and trim pieces.
- Fully test window operation multiple times to confirm smooth, quiet movement and correct seating at full up and down positions.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal (if disconnected) and perform a final inspection for loose fasteners or vibration sources.
