A direct-fit glass weatherstrip with integrated chrome lockstrip designed for 1967 Plymouth Barracuda 2‑door hardtop models. This assembly seals and secures the vent/window glass to the door and body opening, preventing water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while restoring the correct finished appearance. Built for durability and ease of installation, it provides a corrosion-resistant trim and reliable sealing surface for restoration or replacement projects.
Features:
- Fits 1967 Plymouth Barracuda 2 Dr Hardtop models (vent/window glass application).
- Premium rubber sealing profile with a corrosion-resistant chrome lockstrip for a factory-correct look.
- Seals glass to body to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and minimize vibration.
- Direct-fit replacement for restoration or repair—no major modification required.
- Durable construction resists weathering and maintains seal performance over time.
- Designed for straightforward installation with common hand tools and basic glass handling.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1-2 hours (per side, depending on experience)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect battery if working near power mechanisms; lower glass or remove door panel as required to access the channel.
- Carefully remove interior trim, glass run channels, and the old weatherstrip/lockstrip assembly. Save any reusable clips or note their positions.
- Thoroughly clean the glass channel and surrounding metal surfaces with solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Inspect glass and channel for damage; repair as needed.
- Test-fit the new rubber weatherstrip and chrome lockstrip along the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary (leave a small overlap for final seating).
- Apply a thin film of rubber lubricant or soapy water to the rubber sealing lips to ease installation. If weatherstrip is stiff, gently warm with a heat gun to increase pliability.
- With a helper supporting the glass, seat the rubber weatherstrip into the body channel and carefully roll or press the chrome lockstrip into the glass channel, working evenly from one end to the other to avoid pinching or stretching.
- Ensure the strip engages fully along its entire length and that the glass moves smoothly. Reinstall any clips, adjust window alignment if necessary, and trim/finish the ends for a clean fit.
- Reinstall door panel and trim, test the window operation several times, and check for leaks by running water over the area or using a water hose. Make final adjustments as needed.
