This rear window weatherstrip seal (WCR DB3120) is designed for sedan and hardtop models that use a grooved trim-style rear window seal. It creates a weatherproof barrier that prevents water intrusion, wind noise, and rattles while providing a correct OEM-style fit for restoration or replacement projects. Constructed from durable EPDM rubber and formed to accept window trim in its integrated groove, the seal restores proper alignment and long-term reliability while simplifying installation for hobbyists and professional restorers alike.
Features:
- Fits sedan and hardtop models requiring rear window weatherstrip WCR DB3120 — verify fitment for your year, make, and model.
- Made from high-quality EPDM rubber for excellent resistance to weather, ozone, and temperature extremes.
- Integrated trim groove accepts exterior molding for a factory-correct appearance and secure trim retention.
- Seals against water and wind to reduce leaks, drafts, and road noise while preventing interior damage.
- Designed for direct replacement and restoration projects to restore proper window alignment and fit.
- Easy to install with basic tools; provides a durable, long-lasting solution to worn or cracked seals.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Confirm part WCR DB3120 fits your vehicle by dry-fitting the seal against the rear window flange and trim groove.
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry out trim and seal using a plastic trim tool and screwdriver; cut adhesive bonds if necessary.
- Clean the channel and surrounding flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; remove all old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion.
- Test-fit the new seal around the window opening to ensure correct orientation and fit. Trim excess if needed (measure twice, cut once).
- If adhesive is recommended for your application, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel per adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the new seal into the channel, working around the window. Use masking tape to hold sections in place temporarily if needed.
- Seat the seal fully into the flange using a rubber mallet or block of wood and gentle taps; ensure the trim groove is correctly aligned for the exterior molding.
- Install window trim into the groove, verifying even engagement along the entire perimeter. Reattach any interior trim panels removed earlier.
- Clean any excess adhesive immediately with appropriate solvent and wipe down the seal. Allow adhesive to cure fully per manufacturer's cure time before exposing to moisture.
- Perform a water test (hose) to confirm there are no leaks and check for proper window alignment and operation.
