Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any remaining lockstrip, protecting the window and surrounding trim.
- Clean the channel and mounting surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol; remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the window channel to confirm orientation and length before final installation.
- If used, apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone lubricant to the seal seating area to ease installation.
- Begin seating the seal at one end of the channel and work it progressively around the opening, using a plastic trim tool and rubber mallet or block of wood to press the seal fully into the channel.
- Insert the lockstrip into the trim groove, ensuring it engages evenly along the entire length to lock the seal in place.
- Trim excess seal or lockstrip with a utility knife or scissors for a neat, flush finish.
- Recheck the seal fit, clean any lubricant residue, and allow any wetting agents to dry before driving. Test for leaks and proper seating.
