Instructions:
- Prepare vehicle: park on level ground, disconnect the negative battery terminal if vehicle has power windows, and lower windows to a safe position.
- Remove inner door panel and any vapor barriers or trim pieces to access the window channel and beltline area.
- Carefully lower or raise the glass as needed and secure it in place with masking tape or a suitable support so it won't move during the swap.
- Detach the old beltline molding and glass run channel by removing fasteners, clips, or adhesive; gently pry out the old pieces to avoid damaging the door skin.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and surrounding area to remove dirt, old adhesive, and corrosion; inspect the door flange for damage and repair if necessary.
- Lubricate the new glass run channels with a rubber-safe silicone lubricant and seat them into the door frame starting from the top corner and working outward for an even fit.
- Install the beltline molding, aligning clips or screw holes and securing all fasteners; trim or tuck any excess material per vehicle-specific requirements.
- Lower the glass into the new channels and cycle the window several times to confirm smooth operation and proper alignment; adjust channel position or regulator mounting as needed.
- Reinstall the door panel, trim, and any vapor barrier, then perform a final leak and wind-noise check using a hose and a road test.
