1993-2003 Volkswagen EuroVan Windshield Weatherstrip Seal (WBL F712) is a direct-fit replacement seal designed to secure and protect the windshield opening. Engineered to stop water intrusion, reduce wind noise and vibration, and keep road debris from entering the cabin, this weatherstrip restores proper sealing and alignment when the original rubber becomes brittle, cracked, or deformed. Constructed from resilient, weather-resistant rubber compound, it provides long-lasting durability, UV and ozone resistance, and a reliable seal that simplifies windshield installation and maintenance for restoration or routine replacement projects.
Features:
- Fits 1993-2003 Volkswagen EuroVan (windshield opening).
- Made from durable, weather- and UV-resistant rubber for long service life.
- Designed without a trim groove for vehicles that require a groove-less seal profile.
- Prevents water leaks, wind noise, and vibration by providing a tight windshield seal.
- OEM-style fit for straightforward replacement and accurate alignment.
- Ideal for restoration or repair projects to replace cracked, hardened, or misshapen seals.
- Easy to work with — flexible material conforms to windshield and channel for quicker installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any retaining clips or adhesive without damaging the windshield or body channel.
- Clean the windshield flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal by aligning it around the windshield opening to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess if necessary.
- If recommended for your vehicle, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel or to the seal's contact surface. Many installs can be completed without adhesive if the seal is a friction fit.
- Starting at a lower corner, press the seal into the channel and work around the windshield evenly — avoid stretching the seal. Use a rubber roller or your gloved hand to seat it firmly.
- Trim any overhang flush with a utility knife and smooth the joint where the ends meet. Use masking tape to hold sections in place until adhesive sets, if used.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions (if applied) and inspect the seal for uniform contact. Reinstall any trim or molding removed during disassembly.
